In 1988, our then small kiwifruit packhouse was struggling to find a reliable supply of quality produce packaging. In response to this, we used our Kiwi ingenuity to create the solution ourselves. We set up our own customer-centric packaging company, focused on creating bespoke solutions to satisfy our customers’ unique needs, with packaging solutions that have grown to cover a range of industries.

The world loves quality New Zealand produce so it’s without question that our packaging solutions need to match that quality. Now more than ever, choosing options that can easily be recyclable, compostable or re-usable is front-of-mind for many of our customers. Our solutions are centred around produce preservation and presentation, while making continued efforts to move towards more renewable resources.
Our peel-able, re-sealable, tamper-proof top seal fibre punnets is an example of the fusion of our journey towards using more renewable resources and our expert innovation. So much so, the punnets won two categories – Food, and Packaging Materials & Components at the 2020 WorldStar Awards. To have our recyclable (via kerbside with paper and board and fibre re-pulping streams) and home garden-compostable Kaituna Blueberries punnets credited at these internationally recognised packaging awards is something we are immensely proud of.
