Customer Services / Sales Support

Based in Patumahoe (close to Pukekohe), Punchbowl is a proud family-owned and operated business founded in the 1990's. With their stellar reputation for exceptional service, Punchbowl is quickly becoming the packaging and machinery go-to across several industries.

They are looking for a Customer Services / Sales Support person to join their awesome team and support the Jet Black Fans business, based in a brand-new building in Patumahoe.

  • Fixed Term Role
  • Jan start until April 2024
  • Part time hours - 5 days a week

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

Taking customer orders and entering into the system

  • Generating invoices
  • Arranging transport as required for dispatch
  • Co-ordinating product checks
  • Picking and kitting for orders
  • Communicating via phone and email with customers, internal staff and suppliers
  • Office administration support for various departments

This is a fantastic broad spectrum role for someone. If you already have 2- 5 years of office administration experience it will be a job you will relish in a local rural community.

You will also:

  • Have strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy with numbers & data entry
  • Be able to liaise with a variety of people including customers, 3PL personnel & Logistics companies
  • Be an effective and collaborative communicator
  • Be honest, punctual, reliable and respectful

Automation Service Technician

About the role:

Due to their exciting growth in sales, a unique opportunity to join their team as an Automation Service Technician has arisen. This role is based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, however, there will be travel to the Auckland Head Office and other parts of New Zealand, especially from March to May, so flexibility is a must. You will be an integral member of the team and uphold their values by bringing your hands-on diagnostic and fault-fixing skills, strong work ethic and collaboration skills to their existing hardworking and supportive team.

This role is intended to be predominately focused on supporting our Automation customers while recognising that this work is largely seasonal. In the off-season, the role will cover a diverse range of tasks such as assisting with R&D and machinery construction as well as undertaking machinery servicing across NZ and internationally along with:

  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - you will be providing timely and exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone
  • Great problem-solving abilities
  • Being self-motivated and take ownership, with the ability to work without supervision
  • The ability to follow procedures and assist with managing the compliance process
  • Being able to successfully prepare and update required documentation
  • Having a great sense of humour and being a team player
  • High attention to detail and accuracy - an eye for detail is a must!
  • A knack for building relationships with existing and new customers
  • An interest in development
  • An understanding of electrical design and fault-finding
  • Experience in mechanical fittings i.e. changing motors, pulling bearings, replacing belts
  • Ideally have an Electrical or Engineering qualification
  • Ideally have PLC programming experience
  • Able to work independently
  • Full training on machinery will be provided.
